I have opted to continue eating puree.

When did you guys that have had surgery start eating normal food?

I wonder if I will have to reintro foods again LOL. Not really sure what I am

going to have to do.

Right now I am preemptively trying to deal with constipation since I am on a lot

of narcotics and a pain patch. I am doing the prune (tomorrow I will have some

coffee as the coffee will help with the water retention from the IV's too. My

blood pressure was very low in the hospital which got them really worried post

op so they loaded me up with IV liquid. It's so bad I am bruised and I cannot

see my knees :( Anyway for the constipation I am also taking a supplement

called OXY mag which is oxygenated magnesium followed by lemon juice. In the

hospital they wanted to give me dulcolax, colace and senna- No thank you. I

have Crohn's. I am trying to deal with this the best I can. If need be I may

use Miralax.

Constipation can be my biggest enemy right now. But I seem to be ok. My pain

doc said once pain meds stabilize in about a weeks time it should get easier.

Without the pain meds I cannot move and my surgeon said moving and breathing

easily is imperative to my healing.

I was wondering if juicing some spinach in my pineapple juice would be

considered high fiber?

Thanks- sorry questions all over the place it's just once I posted I had more

q's. LOL. Well, when does that not happen, Jodi?

Feeling much much better tonight! YAY!

Jodi
