Guest guest
Hey, , WOW! Congrats and keep up the commitment! I am inspired by your accomplishment and commitment! Like you, I don't get to post much, but I faithfully read everyone else's messages. My Mom taught me not to eavesdrop, but that was before the internet! When I started Nursing school last Fall, I was 70 lbs overweight. Sitting in the front row, I cringed through the nutrition course! I got an A in the class, but there was a disconnect between what I KNEW and how I chose to live. I've been battling the weight for most of my adult life, and came to accept that that was who I was, and that was how I would always be. But, as insurmountable as it seemed, the more I learned the more I knew I HAD to make a life change. I tried it on my own for one semester, but didn't have much success. My dear sister gave me the most incredible Christmas gift: 10 weeks at WW! (No, I wasn't offended, I was deeply touched! My Hubby had been out of work for most of the year, and although I WANTED to join, the bucks just weren't there! So, in January, I joined WW. I LOVE my new life, and it feels so good to finally have what I know match what I do! It is because I am in Nursing school that I seldom have time to add anything to the group, but I am definitely encouraged and inspired to keep on program by reading what everyone else is doing! Chris 204/163/137 Update from Hi, everyone: I haven't updated much lately, but I've read all the digests and I'm still here! My husband got a job that he starts on November 1. I'm very happy, and the stress level in our house had decreased dramatically. Before he'd been working at a long-term temporary job. We graduated from MBA school in June 2003, and he hasn't been able to find anything permanent in all that time. It's been difficult. I've been staying on program just fine. Today I left the 230's behind! Yay!! My weigh in was 229. I still can't get used to writing 229--I invariably type it as 292. It's amazing how far I've come. This group is fantastic--you guys are absolutely crucial to my success, and I want to thank you. Regards, 297/229/
