Guest guest
Gisele I give myself monthly B12 injections. The sharps/needles I get at my pharmacy are small enough -- rarely feel it when I stab myself in the thigh. Of course I rub the area for a few minutes first before I stick the needle in; read somewhere or other to do that, causes less trauma?? The package on the sharp/needle says: 3ml 25g5/8 (0.5mm x 16mm). Kim M. >>>>>>>>> " hardly a prick at all" ...wow, that's from using a special needle? I get mb12+ bcomplex shots from my boss into my backside & they hurt like crazy!! ( they're worth it still...energizing & if i don't i get cracks in the corner of my mouth ) but if a different needle means they don't hurt --I'd love it!! what guage/type of needle is that? Gisele I also give myself B-12 shots regularly and they don't hurt, except for that little prick. I use the same sized needles are Kim and also give them to myself in the thigh or slightly more toward the back. However, when the pharmacy was out of the other they once gave me long thing syringes with smaller gauge needles, which I found out later are considered insulin needles (orange wrapper rather than blue). I didn't even feel the prick at all. You have to fill the whole syringe on those, but the needle is very thin and sharp, though I don't recall the gauge. n
Guest guest
For the needles that don't hurt Package says: BD Insulin Syringes with the BD Ultra-Fine needle SHORT NEEDLE capacity: 3/10 length: 8 mm gauge: 31G Tha pharmacist just called them " shorts " If shots hurt you then you could get a scrip of Lidocaine/Prilocaine Cream. Put it on and cover with some Scotch tape (an hour before the injection). It numbs the area.
