Guest guest
Here some ideas to help you through the liquid phase. Note: My mom ate dry crackers from the day after surgery, just one or two a meal, chewed very mushy and with lots of water. ice cubes, frozen juices, vegetable juice, well-cooked vegetables (potatoes, carrots, cauliflower), baked potatoes no peeling, mashed potatoes and low-fat gravy, applesauce, small curd cottage cheese, meat spreads.... more creative, just remember to chew (: meat flavored spagetti sauce over soft baked tater-tots, shredded cheese on a baked potato, vienna sausages, macaroni and cheese, soft boiled-poached-or soft scrambled eggs, homemade fruit ices (frozen blenderized fruit, remember the dixie cup and popsycle stick).... Now after all that, I'm hungry - better go to bed and dream about it or the GERD will get me. - Debie
