In s.s. pan with butter- (large pan) saute 3 squash (cut in circles)with a 1/2 onion sliced till light brown-do not cook till brown. Add water to cover squash,bring to a slow boil and simmer 1/2 hour,uncovered till most liquid is gone.(squash can be partially mushy and partially still in circles.Add D.C.C.C. about 3/4 package if using Friendship and cook and stir for 10 minutes slowly.
