we used to have 2 volkswagon beetles (the new ones). then when sydney

was 5 mo old we sold one and got a prius (bigger, but not big). we

really only used the infant carrier in the beetle and that was tight.

we put our marathon in there once or twice, but I wouldn't recommend

it. However I would think a roundabout would be okay. But britax seats

are expensive, so if money is tight you can probably find something

more affordable. We got the marathon because sydney is big and we

didn't want her to outgrow it too fast (at 2 years she's already 33

lbs). But with a small car I would get one that only goes up to 40

(so it will be smaller) and then deal with another seat later.

Also I love your story about the midlife crisis, 14 year old and new

baby. I'm pretty much the oldest mom of a 2 year old I know :-)
