Guest guest
I must have missed the OP but every visit when I got to CT there would be ppl getting their kids out and putting their bands on in the parking lot so I started to wonder if I missed instructions to do that so I asked and they said that they absolutely should wear it in the car. was already 24 lbs when we got his band so we were already in a convertible seat and we never had issues. But when he graduated we did worry about cushioning so we put the head support pad back in (he has a decathalon so the heads upport offers another 1 " of foam under and around his head, not just fabric like the infant seats) On Fri, Apr 18, 2008 at 8:59 AM, Tammy Sabs <princessluau@...> wrote: Regarding wearing the band in the car. I would switch to an childs regular car seat, not the pop in Graco snug ride or other models. My sons head would flop in the graco snug ride but in the regular britax roundabout we were able to feel better as he was sitting properly and well supported. I also feel that after graduation the larger car seats offer more cushion for the babies head to stop regressions. I never have heard of taking the band off in the car, this advice would concern me. What type of band is it? DOC and starbands are made to be worn 23 hours a day-period. (Unless you have a rash or a fever or are ill the helmet should be on) I would look for a new ortho, obviously they are inexperienced and not properly eduated in their product. Speak to corporate or a supervisor to determine what is up. If they can misinform you about this then how will you know they are making correct cuts during adjustments. I wouldnt trust them....
