I think you'll see great results at his young age. Repo is hard and exhausting and doesn't always work. I wasn't even really encouraged to do repo by any doctors (only our physical therapist) and they just told me my son's head would round out on it's own, but it didn't, and we ended up banding him at 17 months old. So it's great that you didn't settle for the response from your doctor. Do you have to drive 2 hours for every adjustment as well, or just the scan? Either way, it's worth it (we drive 3 hours each way for every adjustment). Good luck!
