Just a quick note to thank those who responded so far to my cafeteria dilemma.

We happen to have an IEP meeting scheduled next Tuesday to ammend it. We

decided to hold off on an FM system in the classroom at this time and the audi

says we therefore need to formally take that off the IEP. I am going to take

this meeting opportunity to bring up the social/behavior issues. It's supposed

to be a short meeting so we won't be able to address it fully but I just want to

get the topic brought up and try to get the teacher to express her thoughts in

front of the rest of the team. I want them to know what we're dealing with here

as far as her not wanting other adults in the classroom. (This is what I've

been told by 's OT and PT)

I also requested a meeting with the principal just to chat about my concerns

before the IEP meeting one on one. I want to get a feel for what her take on

the situation is and what kind of reports she's getting from the teacher or

therapists. I will express my concern about some things that I've seen and

heard about the teacher. I'm not sure how much I want to say as far as my

negative feelings about the teacher. I don't want this to come across as a

personal attack.

Social goals in the IEP sounds like the first step. We don't have that. So it

seems if we add that then the appropriate services should follow.
