Guest guest
Hi, I am way behind in my reading, but noticed this thread on CoQ10. We originally bought the Sam's Club brand and then another that was supposed to be a really good one from Swanson. It helped my daughter some. Dr. Cohen asked what brand we were using, and then recommended Tishcon's Q gel brand. Tishcon is the ONLY company that makes Q gel and they sell it to other makers of CoQ10 formulas to use that in their capsules or liquids. So there may be different places you can buy the Qgel, but to be sure it is Tishcon's make sure it says it is Qgel. Qgel is Tishcon's brandname and they are the only ones that make it. We found that Swanson vitamins carries Qgel now in the 100 mg caps we needed, but the price has gone up so it is cheaper to buy from Epic4Health with the Cleveland Clinic discount. Dr. Cohen said that Tishcon is the only company that really regulates the making of the CoQ10. When I called the various companies that make CoQ10 most said that the actual coq10 in their formulas came from Japan and that practically all the CoQ10 in the US comes from Japan. Tishcon is made here in the USA. For my daughter when we switched her to the Qgel there was a dramatic improvement over the other CoQ10 formulas she has used. I am not 100% sure it was this brand, but we are not switching back to find out. Hope this is helpful. Z
