Guest guest
Dear Vera, Thanks for asking about my dad. He managed to get the obstructing particle out last night without going to the ER. Fisher's explanation of what it is like for him when that happens sounds very much like what happens to my dad. It was always a very scarry thing for us when Dad needed to excuse himself from the table to take care of the problem. Now with the MSA being so much worse it is even more stressful. To follow up on Aletta's post to Lolah: It is interesting to note how early the symptoms that once seemed common and not too consequential now, after many years of multiple symptoms and seeking diagnoses, seem to be clues to what was to come. Constipation, sleep problems, difficulty swallowing, etcetera are all so mundane on one level and so ominous on another. I wonder how it will ultimately all be tied together. Has this group ever tried to do a survey along the lines of the Parkinson's group's " How Did We Get Here " survery? Is there any interest in doing such a survey for this smaller group? Has anyone heard any results from the Parkinson's survey or is it still being done? I would be willing to help with such a project if there is interest. Regards, Cindy V.
