I know constipation is a major symptom...but geez...I was taking Correctol laxatives about 15-20 years ago for constipation. I think over time, the digestive tract can get so damaged in some people...that one then starts to have the malabsorption and everything tries to make a quick exit...all the normal digestive functions just don't work right. I'm been drinking Ensure with FOS which has really helped my digestive tract. Cindi
Guest guest
Re: Embarrasing..... Cris, I hear ya! The only time I had diarrhea was when I had to take a combo of strong laxatives prior to a colonscopy! Doesn't matter what I eat or don't eat....always somewhat constipated and bloated. If I knew of a safe, gluten-free laxative I'd be taking them daily! Anyone out there have any ideas for us? Thanks, Dee
Guest guest
I was taking a generic equivalent to collace for a while - every day. Now, I've had to go to the generic equivalent that also has a laxitive in it - Doscusate Sodium plus Sennosides. This helps me to go every few days - instead of once/week. No clue if it is gluten-free or not though. When I first started armour, I went better than I had been, but not great - now, I'm worse than ever. I'm hoping that if I get more armour into me, that this will get better. Cris Re: Embarrasing..... Cris, I hear ya! Guest guest
The herbal Cascara Sagrada is the best herbal natural laxative I've ever used. I used to take it every day for natural functions & it worked wonderfully well. I don't need any laxatives anymore since I''ve been eating oat bran every morning & fiber foods throughout the day. I'm very regular without any diarrhea either for years now since I've been doing that. Probiotics help too like Primal Defense which I take periodically & am taking at the present time.
