Guest guest
I meant , Mother to ! Sorry:) Been A Really Long Time It has been so long since I have posted. When I joined this group there were only a little over 2000 members! We are nearly 4 years post band and 3 years post OT & PT and I just wanted to offer a word of encouragement to everyone going through this...there is light at the end of the tunnel!!! No matter the often foolish and sometimes harsh comments by uninformed people, no matter the tear-filled moments you go through in the casting process, the sleepless nights wondering if this will work, the countless hours spent decorating and redecorating the band, the frustrating time spent trying to get your precious child to cooperate while you do stretches and try to get that ucky smell off of that head! All of this will pass and one day you will look up at your darling little one and realize that 3 1/2 years have passed since that band came off and No that head isn't perfect, but it sure is 100% better than had nothing been done at all!! All those stretches really did work. All that decorating taught you that you could be creative under pressure and answering all those "Why is your baby wearing a football helmet?" and other sometimes funny questions has made you a more proactive parent because you can now tell others what you went through and give advice on how to make their journey easier. So to all the 8000+ members whether active or like me still here but not active, whether you are just beginning or a veteran...I salute you, bless you and want you to know you are in my prayers. Chin Up!! This To Shall Pass!!!
