Guest guest
loved your letter Grace:) Youve a wonderful humor and outlook:) I had gamma too and i thought the frame hurttoo, going in and out. I tell people to always take the pain med offered after gamma because even tho they have taken the frame off, it has exerted soooooo much pressure on your ull:( Even tho you may not be in pain at that time will will be ter:( What did you have gammaed?? I had an AN done. Later, I changed neuros and had it surgially removed anyway but the mris were showing necrosis (inner cell death) The new Dr wasnt afraid of its growing but it was so large that he was worried about other tumors growing, this was the easiest, and quickest way to make some room in my head:) My mris still show the gap in my brain where it was:) Looks like someone played drop kick with my brains:)~~Lori Re: me again > Hello Carol! > > The frame is for them to put on around your head (literally screwed > on, two screws in front, two back, OUCHIE you can still see the marks > on my forehead) so that once you go in the gamma knife machine, the > frame clicks onto the machine at the exact same spot for each > treatment; to make sure the radiation targets the center of the > tumour.
