As for the tightness, I still have a little of that after 35 years. I would suggest that you ask your doctor for a referral to a physical therapist who can help loosen up the motion. A year of feeling strangled seems a bit long. Gail dx: 1968, TT, pap. & foll. well differentiated w/hurthle cell, RAI, rad.neck dissection,lung surgery, hashimoto, tg antibody 575, iodine resistant,existing thyca nodules in lungs.
