Guest guest
HI Zanna I just want to remind you that allergens on labels don't include barley or rye. Therefore, the malt flavoring in Kelloggs cereals won't be listed as allergens. If it includes malt, it is not safe. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Especially because Frosted Flakes were my favorite! :-( Ellen in land > > I noticed that the Kelloggs cereals list all their allergens on the back. I got gluten free frosted flakes and cocoa puffs. Guest guest
Zanna, Are you sure those don't have any barley malt? Just double checking...because I'd LOVE to eat Frosted Flakes. It just seems too good to be true! __________________________________________________

Guest guest
zI have to check again! The box was gone in 3 days! My husband and son and I were so excited to have real cereal in the house. We have gone to pretty much 'no refined foods, chicken, fish, and fresh fruits and veggies' but I was craving some cereal too......Probably better off without it....LOL. Guest guest
It seems like you might be mixing up " wheat free " and " gluten free " - it is important to remember than many things are wheat free, but not gluten free. (like Newman's O's, grrr...) Maureen > > Bummer! I thought gluten free was gluten free......hmmm. I will have to look at that box again. I was pretty sure it didn't say malt. Guest guest
Kelloggs Frosted Flakes contain malt flavoring, which is not gluten free. They won't list barley, rye or oats as an allergen either. Wheat is the only gluten grain that will show up on an allergen label. nn in CA > > I noticed that the Kelloggs cereals list all their allergens on the back. Guest guest
scroll down to Kellogg's on this page http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/Spa/4003/gf-contaminated.html the Kellogg's USA site is not particularly helpful but their UK site lists a fair number of products that are not GF. I don't know if the UK manufactures the same way as the US so I didn't include the link. It is my understanding that Kellogg's contains undeclared barley malt and has contamination issues. Guest guest
I goofed on the cocoa puffs, it wasn't cocoa puffs, it was another one that didn't turn out to be gluten free either.
