Guest guest
I asked my dr about that cause i was going to do the exact same thing..even in her car seat. She told me PLEASE dont waste your money! she said its a way to get money out of people. cause th can be pricey. she aslo said thaat the ones they sell for the Plagio actually cost 20-30 more than the regular memory foam and there the exact same thing. so what id say to you is the same she told me. get a carrier to put on your chest, put her in there when you go to the store, when your doing chores, or in a play saucer, then when she or he is sleeping put her on the side thats the plagio is bulgeing at.i told my dr i was going to go get her one of those bumbo seats she said no, that she wants her to build her muscle tone up more cause if its low its going to make it worse than better! i hope that will help. I hope this helps you at lease some. misty 6 months old Plagio rt side with tort.luvmynwfy <luvmynwfy@...> wrote: HiOkay so I've read some of the aggressive repositioning information and one of the suggestions was to use memory foam in things like the bouncy chair. Does this really help? I could get a large piece and use it in the crib, his bouncy chair, when he has kick time onthe floor mat(that's laying on his back and swatting at the hanging toys over his head and of course he kicks he gets so excited....). I went out tonight and bought a Bumbo seat - my 4 month old is on the small side and I hope he fits into it. I just fed him and laid him on his side, wedging the blanket on either side to help keep him there - when he sleeps he's all over the place - if he wants to lay on his back he will. I have a facing forward snuggly - I think I'll start giving him time in that tomorrow. We have an appt. with our pediatrician in 2 weeks so we'll see what she thinks.I'm curious though about the DOC bands - what are they made from? do they really only weigh 7 ounces? Also is anyone on here from Toronto, Canada?thanks everyone,Marina You rock. Guest guest
I agree about the memory foam. We used a sleep wedge with memory foam and my daughter had severe brachy - so it didn't prevent anything. As for bumbo I think they are great - but if you're dealing with tort, you might want to check with your PT. My daughter didn't have tort or low muscle town. Acutually she has always been very muscular & strong. So much so that I'm thinking of signing her up for the WWF ;-) -christine sydney 2 yrs starband grad > Hi > Okay so I've read some of the aggressive repositioning information > and one of the suggestions was to use memory foam in things like the > bouncy chair.
