Guest guest
So interesting to read all your experiences. Mine was alot like yours Deb. That port tugging feeling settled down after a couple weeks for me. Although Pesos are a good idea I have never met a person in Mexico who would not gladly take American dollars. I always get a stack of one dollar bills when I travel to use for tipping, cab fares, bottled water. Can't believe that you all travel to a foreign country famous for its cuisine and eat at Mcs. We have to go back to Mexico when we are all thin and have some tequila and spicy local dishes.Small portions of course. I agree that pain control concepts are probably different. So much of our life experience is culturally based. I have had the problem you describe more in Asian countries than in Mexico where people smile and nod and seem to agree with you when they have no concept of what you are saying or asking for. That is just their way of being polite. Of course you don't ever get what you are waiting for. All part of the traveling adventure although it is easier to see that when you are not hospitalized or in pain. You had some good advice for future bandsters. Seems like going down in a group was a really worthwhile experience. And 11 lbs. Fantastic! It is great to see that you are all banded and ready to start on another incredible journey of weight loss. Wishing smooth sailing to you all.
