Guest guest
My son's helmet rotates clockwise as well. I spoke to the ortotist but checked his helmet and claims that it has a snug fit and shouldn't move at all....but it does!!
Guest guest
Hi- Does it continually move or shift? Or does it sit firmly on her head, but just not centered? It definitely shouldn't be so loose that it constantly moves around on her head. However, if it's just a matter of it sitting a little crooked but is still firmly in place, I think that's okay. My son has a DocBand which has the little " widow's peak " point in the center of the forehead. But it doesn't line up straight with his nose, it is over to the left (his right) a little. The therapist told me that it's fine that way and the bigger concern would be if it was so far off center that it was more in line with his eye than his nose (which it isn't, but another mom I know of had that problem and her son is getting refitted for a new band because it didn't fit right to begin with). I believe the reasoning behind this crooked look is because in essence, their head is crooked to begin with, therefore the band accentuates those crooked features. At least that's what I attribute it to in our case. My son's band also laid on his ear a little at first, but the therapist just shaved some room out of the ear hole and it's been fine ever since. But again, if it's a matter of it constantly shifting, that doesn't sound right at all. I would definitely bring it to the ortho's attention again, until you feel satisfied that all is as it should be. Good luck!
