Dear ,

Thanks for the update. Keep it up! I find it so

informative. Especially since I know that our family

will be going through it. It is nice to see your

progress and your perspective on your surgeries.

Dear ,

I am so sorry to hear it has come to this. But, you will get what

you always dreamed of...and you deserve it. We will keep you in our

prayers for fast insurance approval and continued healing as you go

through more surgeries.

You are one of the strongest people I know. Your willingness to

share all of your experiences, good and bad, with all of us means a

great deal. We will all be able to learn from you.

My son Kenny, almost 9 and recently have the rib graft done would

tell you " it really does hurt! " But only weeks later he was so

proudly showing off his " new ear " , and the pain was no longer a

thought.

One good thing to look forward to, you'll now be able to have those

pierced ears you've always wanted too!

God bless you, .

Sending prayers and strength to you...

You know how we all feel!!! Our prayers are with ou all the way!

Just hang in there!!

Another Update

Hi Gang,

Well, since the last update things here have gotten worse. My newest

skin graft has failed also and the implant is now totally and

obviously exposed.

So, Dr.Eppley and I have had some very serious and detailed

discussions as to what options I have available to me. He has told me

that the implant will need to be removed (no doubt)and that rib

cartilige would still be an option available to me.

Well, I have invested alot of time in this and have been so excited

about getting what I've waited 40 years to have. So, needless to say

I will be undergoing the rib graft surgery within the next several

days to a week (depends on how fast we can get my insurance company

to move ...lets hope they approve it).

Of course I know the surgery is much more invasive and I was hoping

to avoid that , but I've came so far and gotten so close to what I've

always dreamed of that I really can't give it up now.

So...I hope you all will be giving me all your strength to get

through (and over) this hopefully last hurdle. I will let you all

know how things are going and hopefully it will be all good news from

now on.

Thanks to each and everyone of you for all the kind thoughts, and

support I couldn't have made it this far without it.

P.
