For the first time I just tried the gluten free pantry's sandwich

bread mix and I actually really liked it. I ALWAYS toast gf bread

because I think it tastes better. This is one of the only one's I

have found that I like. I cut it after I baked it and froze it in two

pieces per bag and could just pop them in the toaster when I wanted

one. Our toaster is great too. It has a setting for defrost that

works fabulous-o.

Hello,

My 4 and 6 year olds are not celiac (not diagnosed yet, anyway!) but

our whole house has gone gluten-free for the safety of our 1 year old

with Celiac. PB & J was a hard thing for a while. My 6 year old is

PICKY, PICKY! We tried Bob's Red Mill Bread Mix - NO WAY! Next we

tried Gluten-Free Pantry Mix - a little better but still thumb's down.

Finally we tried Pamela's Amazing Wheat-Free Bread Mix - A Winner!!

The picky 6 year old eats PB & J on it, not even toasted. The 4 yo eats

it toasted with butter every morning for breakfast. Tonight we used it

for pizza crust (recipe on the bag) and they ate it all and were crying

because we didn't have anymore (said it was better than Papa 's and

Pizza Hut!). Anyway, give it a try. We do add 2 tablespoons of sugar

to the mix for bread (not for pizza). You can buy it on Amazon and

orders over $25 have free shipping.

I'm a little behind on my reading this week, but I thought I'd add

GF waffles to the list of things to use for PB & J. We use the Vans

GF Mini waffles. My kids like the little sandwiches they make. I

toast them first. We put anything from PB & J to PB & honey to Cream

cheese and jelly on them. With the little squares in the waffles

they also keep everything from squishing out when you bite into

them. :)

Also if she ever gets tired of PB & J type of stuff might I suggest

mixing tuna and mayo and sending corn chips to dip it in?? It

travels really well for school lunches. Good luck!

--- Hi, we use Pamelas wheat free bread mix and it is OUTSTANDING!!

Then for the PB and J my 3 year old loves them in a " pocket " . I have

the press 'n seal from Pampered chef and it presses the bread into

little pockets. the finished product looks just like those smuckers

crustless ones that you see in the freezer section. My 3 year old

LOVES them and that particular bread i think is the best, it is so

moist and she finishes the entire thing. The press 'n seal from

pampered chef is cheap too, like $5 i think and i use it all the

time. hope that helps!
