Guest guest
I posted a few times about my son who I know has very severe brachy. I appreciate all the answers and information this forum has given me! My husband and I have decided to for sure go with a helmet, and probably not consider craniosacral therapy, as our doctor thinks it probably is not worth it. I guess in my heart I was really hoping that a gentle massage therapy would do the trick, but I know that our son's flatness is too severe to correct that way. As far as I understand I will not regret doing this and there is no chance of a helmet NOT helping. Our doctor could not explain why some kids get this and really most do not (he did not consider this an epidemic like I described)- he has only seen one patient of his get a helmet in the last 10 yrs! But, he did give me the medical referral necessary for my extended health insurance to cover a helmet. I will soon post some pictures of in the A folder- it is hard to get a shot of him still, with his hair wet-- he has lots -- and maybe these pics will help someone else too. I realized how severe his brachy was by comparing to all of everyone else's pics, and by the severity check on the CT website. Thanks again to everyone in this support group! Guest guest
I am sure you will be happy with your decision. I know we do not regret our decision to band our son who had plagio. He graduated at 9.5 months and is now 16 mos. and his head looks great. Good luck on your journey...have fun decorating the band! > > I posted a few times about my son who I know has very severe > brachy.
