Lucee,

I was just diagnosed last month (at 36). Looking back though, I believe

I was about the same age as you when it " kicked in " . That is when I

started having major cycle problems, had my first of many miscarriages,

and started having panic/anxiety attacks and terrible mood swings, and

began gaining weight for no reason. I sure wish I knew about PCOS then!

More recently (the past 2 years), I noticed the weight gain around the

middle, my hair thinning and other symptoms that caused me to do some

research on the internet, which finally brought me to an endocrinologist.

Our online stories are so similar! : D Tee's mom and sister called him

Tommy, too. LOL I do it to tick him off sometimes. Hee! I met Tom

(Tee) in the Fabulous Fifties chat room on AOL. I had just attended the

online birthday party of a dear friend who is a professional musician,

and was just wandering about the chat rooms when we met. I thought the

chat room was about the 1950's, not for people in their 50's. I was 30,

he had just turned 50 the week before, and we clicked. I found him

fascinating, he found me amusing. We argued all the time. Oil & water.

LMAO!

4 *thousand* dollars in phone bills?? OH MY GOD! We got up to about $800

one month and nearly died. Then I found an online 'telephony' system (as

they used to be called, called VoxPhone), and our phone bills went back

to normal.

You may have said before, but where were both of you when you met? 12

thousand miles is a lot farther than I had to travel (about 1100)!!!

Well everyone called my hubby Tommy when I got here but I like Tom, and

he looks like Tom to me. We chatted for ten months...every night...then,

not knowing how much the rates were...he called me...ended up with four

thousand dollars in phone bills but he told me every penny was worth

it...how can you not love a guy like that? lol.

I met Tom one rainy night in a friend's music room online...in 1999. My

dad had just died and I was becoming a hermit...from twelve thousand

miles away this man brought me back out into the sunshine and made me

believe I could go on without my dad. I came for a visit on Thanksgiving

2000, we were married February 2001 and I've never regretted my decision.
