Bill, started a mushy nostalgic note to you in a lull between duties,

had lovely St. 's Sunday AM music, Jan so peaceful--and then the Instant

Messenger crew woke everybody up, my son jumped through the door, we talked

with the IN contingency--same ol' general chaos and now my Ethiopian

expresso coffee and homebaked(machine) raisin bread with real butter is

cold--Jan is demanding outside door visitor show the face he missed, Jan

howls when he is feeling good, whimpers when feeling bad--guess all is right

with my world.

I'm sure you miss Charlotte deeply. Although the physical stress is

lessened, emotional pain and empty hours are unavoidable. Jan sleeping

allows me a view of what is soon to come. I hope, following your example, I

will accept the inevitable with dignity and the energy to continue support

for those who need it. Like you, I know I have done my very best to give

proper care and fulfill wishes. If only Jan could leave as Charlotte did.

He won't, though, if he can help it and his lifelong competitivness

perseveres. Also, I suspect he wants me to go first so his creature

comforts (if necessary) can be provided without a gap.

Mushy cards from family inspired this effort. Usually sentiment is

bypassed for comic offerings, yet events of the past year have prompted

many of us to express our appreciation and admiration for each other before

it is too late.

So it is with you, good friend. My very best wishes to you and yours for

many years to come.

LA Louise and family enjoying the technology of talking computers.

Louise,

Isn't that the best raisin bread? The stuff you make at home in the bread

machine :o)

Actually, my days are filled with grandkids and kids. I am re-establishing a

social life. You know! There are people out there :o) I am due to go to my

godson's place New Years day to play cards and boardgames all day - first time

in three years. My daughter and I will go to the cemetery and remove the

Christmas wreath also.

Yes, this was a year that we lost many on the list, but we need to carry on for

the living. Barb Selleck knows that, witness all the pictures she sent of her

family.

Take care, Bill
