Guest guest
Hi, I am new to the group. My baby Henry is now 18 months old. He was diagnosed with hydrocephalus at 10 months and was shunted very quickly. My wife had a breech presentation and Henry was delivered by C-section. He had torticollis but is now totally healed on his own. However, his plagiocephaly is still quite obviously seen from the back. Both our pediatrician and neurosurgeon do not think that we need to do anything about the shape of Henry's head. He looks perfectly fine from the front. I am wondering whether the breech presentation, which apparently caused his torticollis and plagiocephaly, has anything to do with his hydrocephalus. Henry's hydrocephalus is communicating and without any know cause (no tumor, bleeding or anything obvious). He also had no obvious symptoms except a large head circumference. Does anyone have a similar situation? Best, Jian from Buffalo, NY.
