I haven't tried saline nasal drops. Is there a brand I should look for in particular? Do the drops act as a decongestant? I know there are also nasal sprays available but I think the age is 6 and older. This is just a cold so I don't think a chiropractor would help in this sitation.

Thanks!

Didja try plain ol' saline nasal drops? Make sure they don't have

thimerosal as a preservative...

Alyssa's nose is much better when we get regular (at least twice a

week) chiropractic adjustments.

The saline drops really work; we buy them at our local drug store, and before that, 's asthma doctor taught us a home remedy, that I wish I could remember, and it involves an empty nasal inhaler bottle, water, baking soda, and maybe salt? It really works to clean out and anti-bacterize green and yellow sinus drainage, and cleans it out well, and helps with congestion. When we have our next appointment, I will ask about it. Over the counter, only does well with Motrin cold medicine, but he's on rinocort, Pulmicort, Zyrtec, singular, daily, and Albuterol as needed. He was on a ventilator when he was born, and although I had all my steroid shots to develop 's lungs in utero, his prematurity did a work on his lungs, but that's a whole "nother" story :-)

Like Penny says, go with the saline drops.

Love,

Dawn

Hi Dawn

Hope things are getting better for ! My keyboard was locked up for a while. (it drove me nuts). I wanted to rsvp that I would not be able to attend Ladies night out..its been so crazy around here, but fun. I have had relatives from California staying with me since Jully 23 and are leaving tomorrow morning. & I have had a much needed break from all the therapies, phone calls, etc. Starting Monday, back to reality and start gearing up for school to start. has another ear infection 2nd one since 4th of July. (he didn't have any for 14 months) I hope we don't have to do tubes again...it's just not fair. He is also has the runny, yucky nose. So i will try the saline drops this afternoon. Please post your home remedy when you find out what it is, soon the doors and heat will be on and that is usually when his nose starts running. Thanks!

Lynda

Regular visits to a chiropractor boost immune functioning. I see a

difference in my children.

Alyssa hasn't had an adjustment in a week and a half and now she has

hand, foot and mouth disease.
