Guest guest
I just went to our doctor for our son yesterday and asked him that question. Essentially its just the brand. And he said the starbrand uses a different manufacturing process but the Principals are all the same. And they are all fda certified. We subsequently made an àpt for the doc band tomorrow at a place in los Angeles. Sincerely, a L. Brachfeld, esq. Law Offices of Brachfeld & Associates A Collection Law Firm 20300 S. Guest guest
The DOC, Starband and Hangar are all active cranial remolding devices. The major difference is in the provider. The DOCband is manufactured and used as trezatment by people who specialize ONLY in the use of the DOCband to treat plagiocephaly. Starband and Hangar facilities treat plagio in addition to many other orthopedic issues. The thing you definitely need to do to get the best possible experience out of your band, whichever provider you choose, is to ask the therapist treating your child many mahy questions about his/her experience. Here is a guide to some questions to ask...http://www.cappskids.org/QuestionsForTheDoctorAndOrthotist.htm. This will give you a guide and then you can print it out and write down any other questions you come up with so that you remember to ask them. You must feel comfortablw with your orthotist and you must feel like they have the experience to treat your child satisfactorily.
