Why not try a brown sugar substitute?

Do you REALLY need to ask? :)

No, you cannot use the brown sugar. And since sugar does more than simply

sweeten in a marinade, you'll likely find you cannot use a substitute either

Your marinade recipe sounds good, even without the brown sugar!!

I'll bet if you give it a try, you and your family will enjoy the

London Broil and not notice the sugar is missing. It's only there to

add flavor and calories, it does not help tenderize the meat.

If I were you, I'd omit the sugar completely and enjoy the " new "

recipe. :)

I ended up doing an oil and vinegar marinade w/ lots of seasonings. We'll

see.... :-)
