Guest guest
Good news about your heart rate, ! What a relief that must be! About the chips, they're probably fried, aren't they? If so, they're not allowed on the SBD. Whole grain or not. With the 3 lb weight gain, be sure to drink water, water, water. It doesn't make much sense, but when we're retaining water, we need to drink water to flush the water out that's settling in the tissues. I don't understand the science of it; it's just one of those body mysteries that I have to believe on faith. lol Thanks for keeping us up to date with your heart rate. It sounds like things are going well. Donna > > heart rate still down and in normal range w/out taking the beta blocker. > blood pressure in the normal range with just the very small ACE dosage. > Scale has gone up a bit - 3lbs - but i'm really hoping that too will pass when my TOM is over. > > I went to Harry's Farmers Market yesterday - wow, i have not been in a long time! I found some Snyder's Whole Grain tortilla chips, but i'm thinking they are not SB because it's corn?? they have 20g of carbs and 3g of fiber per serving and no trans or sat. fats?? anyone know? > > Got some great shrimp (pricey though!) and it was soo good on the grill last nite (olive oil and a bit of Old Bay!) - fresh broccoli and green beans, some whole wheat couscous and found some 70% chocolate -they had 85% but i didn't think i'd be able to stomach that... > > > > >
Guest guest
; If the chips are baked, then we're on to a good thing. Now, we need to decide if the ingredients are ok. The nutritional info doesn't give the whole story; you've got to look at the ingredients. List them here, in the order given, and that will help us decide if the chips are ok for SBD. Donna...keeping her fingers crossed about these chips > > they are baked - at least that is what it says on the pkg. lemme know if > that makes a difference - and there is no sat. fat or trans fat. - > > And yep, on the water thing and weight gain, i know to drink a lot of water > and have been doing that - if ya wanna know the science (i ONLY know this > because i had BP issues when pregnant and this is what the dr told me..) > > IF your body is retaining water the best thing you can do is to drink lots > of it - why?? because since the body will be well hydrated every single day, > the body doesn't feel like it's dehydrated - and since it doesn't feel that > way or feel like it needs to save up for the day it doesn't have any water, > it won't hold onto as much - > kinda the same principle with food and starving yourself and how that never > works i think. > > >
