The reason you probably do not get a notification of receipt when you put

" return receipt requested " is that more ISP's and even users like me put

" firewalls " in their computers to prevent outsiders from accessing their

computer. These firewalls interpret any outside email from initiating an email

directly from the computer that is supposed to send the return email - (it could

be asking for your bank account number). So return receipts may become extinct

with the new generation of viruses, sorry.

Hey, Bill--before I go back to breakfast. Thanks for puter tuting but

receipt request and f's in circles with no paper clips originate on t'other

end. Barbs stuff used to just push through the f circles, but receipt stuff

is Starks problem since I know he is still getting thru to the list. WOW,

cyberspace must be a housekeeping mess. What if all this stuff comes back

on us like a leonid meteor shower ?
