Hello all,

I finally got my blood and urine tests done. Because of my insurance

(HMO) Dr Enns thought I should have them done locally. Well, I went

to the lab here, and after the tech told me that he couldn't even

find 3 of the tests in his computer and started asking me (LOL) how

to do some of the others, I left without getting any of them done.

I talked with Dr. Enns office and told them that I wasn't

comfortable with getting them done at a lab that had never done them

before. I finally ended up going to UCSF. They have worked with

Dr. Enns before and I felt a lot better about that. They still had

to do some research as they don't run the tests very often. But they

knew where to look at least. I was glad that I called the lab in

advance. It saved me a trip. My husband was planning on driving me

down on Friday his regular day off. They told me that the

mitochondrial DNA analysis had to go to San Diego and that it had to

be read within 48 hours. Therefore, I could only have it drawn on

Mon.,Tues., or Wed. I ended up having a friend drive me down. I

don't trust myself to drive alone so far. Now I play the waiting

game. :-) I forgot to ask the doctor how long it would take to get

the results. Anyway keep me in your prayers that I will find some

answers. I really don't know if Dr. Enns will be willing to look

any further.

Keep up the faith

Joanne
