Hi Dawn-

The StarBand in my area was going to cost $3100 and the DocBand we

ended up with cost $3300, so you're very lucky! I'm really not sure

what the difference in price is. Are they both StarBands made by

Orthomerica? Or is one a locally made band or other brand? I would

just meet with both orthos and kind of interview them. Ask them how

many new patients they see per month and per year, how long they've

been working with the band. Ask to see before and after photos of

their patients. And then you just have to go with your gut for what

feels best for your situation.

Good luck with the decision! Congrats on moving forward!

You never know one of them may just be giving you more of a break

than the other. My ortho place charges $2,100 if you go through

ins. but if your ins. company won't cover the helmet then they give

you a $500 break on the price. If you're able, maybe check out both

of the facilities. One might just have more overhead cost than the

other.
