If it truly is worse, then CT needs to provide you the next band free of charge (in my opinion). It is definitely noticeable. I could see your reservations when dh thinks its worse and you are dissappointed with the results. Sometimes as the head is correcting, it does appear worse because of the shifting taking place...maybe that is why? I would express your concerns to CT and if you have pictures to show that it truly is worse then I would take those in.
