Guest guest
Just got back from my 8 day check up following a cwu on my left ear. I also have TMJ on that side that just started 2 days ago. They told me this is temporary and a normal side effect of the surgery. Had me a bit worried ( not to mention painful as well). Did they give you any ideas on how to alleviate the pain? I was told to take advil (good for the swelling), stick to soft food, sleep on my back and use warm compresses on the side of the face ( being careful not to get water in the ear). Hope this helps. Stick in there. > > Went back to the ENT (Dr. Berryhill) after haveing the 5th tumor > removed on 12/05/05. He say's that " it's doing fine " . fine MyASS! Guest guest
Hey, how's it going? Things getting any better? I tried the tricks they told me yesterday for the TMJ and woke up this morning feeling a lot better! I think the warm washcloth really helped ease the muscles. Give us a report on how you're doing. > > Went back to the ENT (Dr. Berryhill) after haveing the 5th tumor > removed on 12/05/05. He say's that " it's doing fine " . fine MyASS! Guest guest
Why are they referring you to a ped. neurosurgeon a couple of hours a way? Is this is a really good neurosurgeon? That is too bad that your little one gets car sick...yuck. What does the ped. say about that? IS there something you can give her for a long car ride? Also, if you don't drive and your dad only drives locally is there a friend that can help you out? What about your daughter's dad? Ya, I understand too the cost of gas, etc. to travel. EEK! I wish I could be of encouragement. Hopefully, someone else has some ideas that will work with your situation. Good luck. PS: How old is your little one? Are you doing repositioning? > > I am getting so frustrated my daughters Ped done a referal to another > pedatric neurosurgen that is hours away from here without me knowing > a thing about it and I was supposed to go Monday at 8am my dad said > there is no way that we would be driving down there that early cause > we most likely would have to leave at 3 or 4 am or even spend the > night ( which we can't afford to spend the night or get gas anyways > to travel that far )to even make it close to time to get to the Apt > and my dad can only drive locally cause of his health conditions and > since I don't drive thats also out of the ?tion so I called back and > told the people in referals at my daughtets Peds office that I > wouldn't be able to make it so they let me know what they thought of > me not following through before sending my daughters Ped a message to > call me back. Guest guest
Hi Crystal, sorry to hear this. Do you know why they want you to see another neuro? Is it just the plagio or other concerns? Hopefully they'll be more cooperative in actually communicating with you. It doesn't make sense for anyone to go to an 8am appointment that is 3 hours away. Good luck with it. -christine sydney 17 mo starband grad > > I am getting so frustrated my daughters Ped done a referal to another > pedatric neurosurgen that is hours away from here without me knowing > a thing about it and I was supposed to go Monday at 8am my dad said > there is no way that we would be driving down there that early cause > we most likely would have to leave at 3 or 4 am or even spend the > night ( which we can't afford to spend the night or get gas anyways > to travel that far )to even make it close to time to get to the Apt > and my dad can only drive locally cause of his health conditions and > since I don't drive thats also out of the ?tion so I called back and > told the people in referals at my daughtets Peds office that I > wouldn't be able to make it so they let me know what they thought of > me not following through before sending my daughters Ped a message to > call me back.
