Guest guest
That's great. However, are your babies ok to stop wearing the helmets because they've outgrown them or they've had the correction you want to see? If they've outgrown the helmet then by having them wear it at all can cause the head shape to get worse. If you are still wanting some correction and the band fits, then I would have them still wear it 23 hours/7 days a week because any growth when they aren't wearing it could be directed towards the prominent areas. CT (where we went) did not recommend night time only. They only wanted my son to wear the band 23/7 until he finished. There is also a post (maybe in the archives) of someone not happy with the results of going to night time only. Good luck. > > Yep that is right we got the ok to stop wearing the helmets > today!!!! Guest guest
According to the doc they are done. They did not out grow their helmets, in fact Gilbert just got a second one five weeks ago. I opted for them to wear it at night (just for three week) because Gwen's ears are still uneven (the tech said over time they should get better, it's the last thing to even out) and when she tired she still holds her head to the left. So we are still working with her neck. Gilbert soft spot is still very large (compare to Gwen's). Because of all those things I am worried about regressing. And I asked my doc if night wear was ok and he said it would be just for the next three weeks. > > > > Yep that is right we got the ok to stop wearing the helmets > > today!!!! Guest guest
congratulations to you and the babies. I wouldn't worry too much about regression at their age. sydney graduated at 10 mo and did fine. The doc told me after 9 mo he doesn't worry too much, but a little later is even better (skull gets harder). Are your babies really going to stay in the carseat for 7 hours? LOL. we took sydney to india at 12 mo and she was all over the place. of course we didn't even bother taking a carseat because we didn't pay for a seat (the tickets were already a fortune). Good luck with the trip. Long flights with babies are not my favorite thing. take care. -christine sydney 17 mo starband grad > > Yep that is right we got the ok to stop wearing the helmets > today!!!!
