Guest guest
That's a really good question! My first instinct was to suggest just wearing the band alone as that might be enough protection. However, should an accident occur you probably don't want to damage your $3,000 helmet! Check with your ortho and see what he/she has to say. They might suggest removing the band during bicycle trips so that a bike helmet will fit properly. Let us know what you find out! Molly California Nicolas, 19 months, tort & plagio, STARband 4/25/06-9/12/06, Graduate! , 4 , 7.5 bike helmets? This may seem like a strange post, but I just went out and bought a bike trailer so my son can come with me and my husband when we go for bike rides. I think he would really love it. However, it just dawned on me, if he has the band on his head (the DOC band), then how would I get a bike helmet on him? I was wondering if anyone else came across this question? I would totally be willing to buy him a new, larger helmet to fit over the band, but then I wonder if it would be safe enough, or if I just have to forgo the bike trailer totally and wait until next year (which would be a real bummer). Thanks! Meg, andria, VA Mom to , 13 m. Waiting on a DOC band For more plagio info
