Guest guest
Who can help me out? I am going to Western China, Western Mongolia, Eastern Kazikstan, and Eastern Russia. What should I look out for on my gluten-free diet? China might be a lot of vegetables. Do you think they use gluten free soy sauce? Flour? Mongolia might be a lot of lamb. Do you know if they use flour or soy sauce and any other gluten items? Russia, maybe there may be a lot of yogert. Can anyone recommend where I can find this information? Guest guest
Re: China- I do not think that they will use gluten free soy sauce. If you read the labels of all the soy sauces imported from China, Taiwan, or Hong Kong they pretty much all have wheat in the ingredients. It will be helpful if you can read Chinese, but even so, mystery sauces will not be your friend. Be careful about fresh fruits and vegetables as well- a friend of mine had all kinds of intestinal issues when his family bought fruit sold by the weight- apparently it was injected with water (Bad! Danger!) to make it heavier...However, I know some people have had very good GF trips in China etc. If I find any posts about them I will pass them on to you here... Your trip sounds amazing- have a great time! > > Who can help me out? > > China might be a lot of vegetables. Do you think they use gluten free > soy sauce? Flour? I stay in a hospital when I go to Beijing and I have a little kitchen in my suite. I bought cooking utensils that are only for my use when I am there. Much safer.
