Guest guest
Laurel, I had my hopes up with my daughter to be done with speech this year after my experience with my son but the teacher told me today that wouldn't be the case. But she has made some progress and so that is the main thing. Now I know to keep the days open next year when I am planning activities like preschool and what not. The main think is to keep in mind that they are relearning how to talk and they didn't learn to talk over night and so it will take a while for them to relearn the new way to talk. I have a hard time keeping that in mind sometimes since my son breezed through speech and almost overnight had changes in his speech. But each child is differnt and he didn't have the health issues our daughter has had to deal with. I have also found that each child works at their own pace and will get to the goals at the end if they are supported and given the tools they need for sucess. I hope you have a wonderful day.
