My son, , is almost five years old. It was only last year that we started

letting him choose a color for an earmold mostly because before that he wouldn't

have cared and didn't really " get it " So when he was four years old I could use

picking out a new color as something fun about the whole earmold impression and

fitting process. He picked green and it came back a neon green color. We

called it his " Shrek " earmold. Just a couple months ago he got his second

colored earmold. This one is blue and white swirled.

got his hearing aids at 3 months old. We went with the flesh colored molds

from the beginning up until he was almost 4years. So I'd say go with what you

are comfortable with at this point. They'll definatley blend in more in the

neutral color. Of course the little hearing aids and molds will stand out to

you because you're just not used to them but they won't be so striking when

there isn't a flashy color drawing attention. If it makes you feel good to have

them flashy then go for it. We chose to wait on color until could be a

part of it. Now he has a cochlear implant in one ear and we sometimes decorate

that with stickers.
