Guest guest
Orthomerica (maker of starband) has a scanner called the starscanner that they can use to make a computer image of the baby's head - including all the measurements. It is used instead of the plaster cast when making the band, and also can be used to look at progress during treatment. If you look at Sydney's pics you'll see one of the pics is a starscanner printout that shows the original head shape (outline) as well as the final, so you can see the change. Here is the link: http://health.ph./group/Plagiocephaly/photos/view/e3ac?b=41 You can also read about the starscanner on Orthomerica's web page. -christine sydney 22 mo starband grad > > > > > > > > > > On my first helmet check with the plastic surgeon, I questioned why > > > > he did not take pictures > > > > > or gives us any " numbers " of severity like many of you provide. > > > > Our doctor said he could > > > > > " eye " it and that looking is better than numbers - that numbers > > > > don't really tell you what > > > > > something looks like.
