Guest guest
Hi everybody, Dear , A few months ago, I had a big stomach pain, which scared me a lot. Having my hand on my stomach, I could feel something hard, just below the middle of my breast. As my port is on the left side, I knew it wasn't it. I was pretty sure I could feel my band. The morning after, I was still in pain, and worried, so I called my doctor. Among other things, I asked him about that hard thing I could feel. He told me it wasn't the band, but the sternum I hadn't been able to feel for such a long time before ... :-) Dear Denny, Welcome to the Bandsters ! I can't believe that in 1999 there are still doctors to say things like that ! I'm not for surgery " à tout prix " ----> at any rate, but when we have tried everything to lose weight and it didn't work, WE KNOW that it's about the only thing which is left for us. I have had my surgery (laproscopic - Swedish band), in December 1997. I've lost so far 52 lbs only, but I'm really happy with it already, even though I have another 50 lbs to lose. Don't hesitate to ask your questions. We are all here for each other, to give advice and support. Dear Mike, Thank you so much for your nice words. It's great to feel such a support. I will follow your advice, and take it step by step. By the way, Steve, your " observations " made me smile ... (and made me consider again my search for a partner !!! ...) LOL Did I already tell ? I LOVE THIS GROUP !!! :-) Lots of love,
