Guest guest
hi again, what is the timeline to get first appt, molding, and receive helmet? I won't be waiting for insurance coverage, I have UHC and they will deny. Does the initial fee of approximately 3,000 cover all bands necessary for treatment, or is that for each band? anyone been to the Miami office? How many techs there? Was it a long wait to get first appointment? What was your experience? Any info you would like to share is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance, Angie
Guest guest
In the case of a DOC band it is $3000 per band. That pays for all appointments, casting, pictures, adjustments for THAT band. They say only 12% get a second band and about 3 percent get a third. > hi again, > > what is the timeline to get first appt, molding, and receive helmet? Guest guest
Angie, If you're in the Miami area I'd recommend going to see Dr. Stelnicki (his office is in Hollywood) about getting a STARband. If your insurance doesn't cover it they'll charge you $1750 out of pocket (that includes the band plus the appointments for adjustments). We've had a good experience there so far.Alisonmom to Leila, born 9/25/05 (tort/plagio, STARband 06/5/06) Boynton Beach, FL Plagiocephaly From: heybobbisox@...Date: Sun, 9 Jul 2006 03:41:06 +0000Subject: Re: ?? about DOC band, also anyone been to Miami office? Guest guest
You can arrange to have your assesment and casting appointment made for the same day. If you decide not to go ahead with the band after the assesment then you just don't use the casting appointment. If you do go ahead with the band then you get casted right after the assesment. The band will arrive within 14 days. Guest guest
They can sometimes do eval and casting i nthe same day if it's preplanned. It takes 7-14 days for the band to come in. They rush the younger infant's bands. The $3000 is for each band. You need a new RX if you need subsequent bands. na wore 2. I have heard good things about the Miami office, but don't know any specifics. na, DOC Grad X2, Feb 04 Kiersten, DOC Grad, April 06 www.thefilyaws.com/plagio/plagio.html > > hi again, > > what is the timeline to get first appt, molding, and receive helmet?
