only .2 to go to the big 10 kilo's. Well done Karin.

Extreme tiredness?

Does anyone else here that has been banded for awhile suffer from extreme tiredness? I don't mean just at the end of a long day but I mean constant tiredness. I take my multivitamin everyday, I can still eat meat at the moment just very small amounts so I think I'm getting enough iron. I have a yoghurt and protein shake everyday for an added supplement. I've been exercising 30 minutes minimum everyday for a couple of weeks now (yes I'm finally getting the hang of it) but I'm so knackered all the time. The other day I couldn't work out why my throat was so sore but it was the muscles in my neck from yawning all day. I started yawning at 9am and never stopped. I work from home when I feel like it (which is slack I know) but I've been very busy with deadlines to meet, but I'm not burning the candle at both ends. I sleep about 8 hours a night. I just can't work out why I'm so stuffed! Maybe it's coming up to the silly season but I'd like to know if this is a common complaint from long term Bandsters? Any input most welcome.

Hi Karin,

I too experience extreme tiredness and I feel the cold something shocking! I can only assume this is due to the weight loss, (no padding!!?) Any way, I swapped from the supradyn to the Swisse Women's Multivitamins, and I don't feel as tired any more. Everynow and then I do still get tired but I just crunch up another one at the end of the day which seems to have helped. They are quite huge and don't fit into my pill cutter so I have taken to chewing them up. They taste disgusting but if they work I don't care. I just make sure I have a glass of milk or cup coffee handy after to wash it down!!

Good luck!

Regards

Judith

Dear Karin,

I don't know about you or any one else, but I always turn to high energy snacks when I'm feeling tired. Chocolate comes to mind instantly, lol, or iced coffee. I find that these always help pick me up and ofcourse add to the inevitable weight problem.

Maybe if you used to do that too before the op, and now don't your body is just craving a high energy snack but you won't give in.

My thinking is that this might settle down when your body adjusts, but in the meantime, how about an afternoon siesta?

Cheers

Doris
