I will copy and paste below. Back when my son was banded - 1) for the folks that starred - I would stare right back - depending on my mood, it was either a big fat grin or quick " what are you looking at glare " lol 2) for folks that asked about his band - I would tell them , " he has a condition called plagiocephaly. His head shape is crooked ..this band is helping to re-shape his head. For example, the same way braces are used to correct crooked teeth. " Very often i found that people that asked had child close to them , their own kid, niece , nephew or grandkid - that had an odd shaped head - but they didn't know there was a way to fix it.
