Guest guest
I went to Spain and had surgery on 1/30/01. Dr. B. and staff were just as nice as everyone said. If I had to do it over again knowing what I know now, I would make the same choice. I had terrible nausea the first night after surgery. Other than that my recovery has been " storybook " so far. That does not mean I've had no discomfort or nights with no sleep or diarrhea, etc., it means I had no unexpected complications. Yesterday was 2 weeks since my surgery and I have lost 17 pounds. I am thrilled. I was worried because my BMI was at the low end that I would loose very slowly. I was blessed to have 3 other Americans at the Clinica in Spain during my time there. I travelled with ann, who had her surgery the day after mine. I am so glad I didn't have to do it alone. I had made up my mind to go alone if necessary, but in retrospect, it would have been tough for me personally. I'm not at full strength yet, but I am exercising and paying attention to which foods I fill my little stomach with in order to get my strenght back in optimum time. To quote a Brown song, " I feel good, na na na na na na na, I knew that I would. " I do get tired, so I will post more later. I will be glad to answer any specific questions or e-mails at KST1Sumo@....
