Just wanted to let you know that I weighed this morning. It's been

28 days since surgery on Jan 9th, and I've lost 25 pounds!!! Yippee.

I feel so much better now. At 12 days postop I weighed and had lost

12 pounds, and I must admit that I've been harboring the secret evil

fear that I will be the one who fails to lose weight with this

surgery. So far, so good - although I am just greedy enough to wish

I were losing faster!

By the way, I did go back to work this past week only 3 weeks after

surgery, and the 10-hour days didn't bother me a bit. I'm also happy

to report that the diarrhea seems to be gone. It went away at about

3-1/2 weeks. A few people at work noticed that I had lost weight,

but not too many. That was a little disappointing, but I have to say

that the weight loss isn't dramatic to my eyes, either. I guess 25

lbs off of a 330 lb person isn't that noticeable. Anyway, I'm 305

now and I do feel dramatically better, even if I don't look

dramatically different. I am able to fit in some clothes I haven't

been able to wear in a while, and that's always exciting. The real

thrill of it all is that this is weight that will never come back

again! It's almost mind-boggling to think about!
