Guest guest
Pam: I tried melatonin last year. I was able to sleep better, but became constipated. So, I stopped taking it and decided it would not do for Bill at all. Aida __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Greetings! When I tried Melatonin, it left me VERY tired and groggy the next morning. Since I was having HORRIBLE problems trying to sleep with my CPAP, I thought it might help. It didn't so I figured it was time to go back to the doctor. After a sleep study he decided it was time to switch to a BiPAP unit. What a difference it made! As I keep saying, though melatonin works, always see a sleep specialist if you have problems going to sleep, staying asleep, or even staying awake. Sleep is so vital to our well being that we should not try to self medicate. If an underlying issue (such as sleep apnea) can be found and corrected, using melatonin or benadryl may only mask a serious and fixable problem. Regards, =jbf= B. Guest guest
's seizures are primarily controlled by the ketogenic diet. He also takes neurontin, but that is more for his neuropathy. We have been thru all the meds (he is allergic to many anticonvulsants) and the diet has been the only thing that truly controls him.
