Guest guest
Welcome to all the newcomers - I apologise for not writing to welcome you sooner. , your description of the enforced diet ala Belgium style had me laughing hysterically. Here in the UK we are also affected and on the news we were advised to throw away various foods. Lots of pates, but more importantly to me, sliced turkey and chicken, which I live on. Be advised fellow bandsters in the UK. Lots of the supermarket prepared chicken dishes. I still feel a bit in limbo about my band and have been having a very hard time controlling my eating and not feeling full at all. , you always seem to get it right bandwise, Could you please tell me what types of things you are eating. I really would be most grateful. Janet, great meeting you last week, apologies for not writing sooner. I have been ultra busy with Bath and Bristol and houseguests for the last week. Kim, how did your fund raising bash go, I was also in tears about Stevie. I hope it all went well for you. Marina, how goes it ? I am very happy that you have been able to find someone to talk to. I know that you have had such a hard time with your back this past year. It is really a credit that you have been able to lose any weight at all, don't be so hard on yourself. A friend gave me a book years ago entitled " How to Survive the Loss of a Love " I don't remember who wrote it but it had lots of wisdom for dealing with the grieving process. One of the basic tenents of the book was that a " love " was not just a person or partner. A love, could also be a job, ones health or other interest by which we define ourself - Any change to the status quo deserved to be treated seriously and with care. One of the more memorable quotes for me was: " There are two type of people, some people are radiators, some are drains. " Marina, you are always a radiator !!! Have a great weekend everyone.
