Guest guest
Okay, today is Day 1 for our short Challenge, 10 days (I am pushing foward to 21). Today, we will concentrate on WCAEMRD: 1) WATER, drink ALL of it, at least 64 oz. 2) CARBS, 20 or under (or according to your CCLL) 3) ATTITUDE, when you get a negative thought, such as " I can't! " or " I have to eat just one! " , Do the exact opposite! TAKE CONTROL. 4) EXERCISE, Can you put your pedometer on? Can you walk around the block? Can you chase your dogs around the backyard or have them chase you? Can you dance to one of your favorite CD's for 20 minutes?? Whatever you choose. 5) MENU, please post yours to the list with carb counts. 6) RECIPE, can you find one to share with the group? 7) DAY, have an EXCELLENT one because today you are doing/starting something for YOU. Ok, I am up and starting right now. Have had one cuppa coffee w/cream and Splenda and am going to get a drink of water. WHO IS WITH ME??? WHO??? COME ON! PAULAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! Guest guest
Well I can't say I did great today, but I am proud of myself nonetheless. Now if I can just make it through these cravings. I have been doing fairly well low carbing actually. But today, I had a little salami and cheese for brunch and went off to the hairdressers. Three people in my mother's building died in three days, can you believe it? On top of my cousin no less. So I decided to take her out to dinner. We went somewhere where I could get a steak, but still very tempting. I skipped the cheese and crackers, I skipped the bread, I skipped the potatoes, we split steamers for an appetizer, and I ordered steak teriyaki. I remmebered tasting it there once before and it was great. I FORGOT it was sweet. and carrots and snow peas were the veggies. So I ate the steak, ate the snow peas and left the carrots. But I had a load of sugar, I tell you, in the teriyaki. It made my heart speed up. And tomorrow I have a dinner party to go to at my Dad's where I ALWAYS fall off low carb. But I am trying to do well through this season and not totally blow it for a three week stretch. And I feel good about that so far. And I think that will be my holiday challenge, not to binge on anything. I will join you in every other part of the challenge and want to stay low carb til Christmas if i can, if not, then JUST DON " T BINGE. a a -- Day 1 PUSH Okay, today is Day 1 for our short Challenge, 10 days (I am pushing foward to 21). Guest guest
Oh yes and you'd think I would remember to take those carb block pills, but noooooooooooooooo. I think I have only taken them once. And I even carry a few in my purse. The brain just doesn't work right anymore. -- Day 1 PUSH > > Okay, today is Day 1 for our short Challenge, 10 days (I am pushing foward > to 21).
