Hi Patty

I think that fear of slippage is greater than the

actual incidences of slippage....

Just my two pence worth...

Hi Patty:

I think that you will find that everyone is happy with the band, for the

most part. It is not perfect, that's what I've been told, but the first

question I always asked anybody was " would you do it again? " and everyone I

asked said " yes. " I'm sure others are going to agree with me. I think

it's the fact that the band is only a tool and you will have to do some

work yourself. This list is for everyone to tell of their successes and

their problems and I'm sure that the successes outweigh the failures. Hang

in there and listen to what others bandsters have to say.

Love Denny

Kaattlady....I would recommend the band op. over any other surgery

option...We have a support group in NZ and none of us have had any of the

problems you suggest...we have a skilled doctor...I have lost 30 kg in 6

months...others in our group have similar stories....Comet

I have been reading all of

your messages and it seems

theres alot of trouble with

the band, getting it regulated

slippage, getting food stuck

and there doesnt seem to be alot of

weight loss, where as the lap

rny seems to have a lot of weight

loss and not as much trouble.

I am do to have surgery June 19th

in Mexico and was decided on the

lap band but now i'm having

second thoughs because I haven't

heard alot positives out of

everyone. would you stay with the

band or if you had it to do over

would you go to the rny. I'm just

so confused.
